The total membership of Assistance League® of Orange, including all auxiliaries is 390. Chapter members and its auxiliaries administer and control philanthropic projects that serve specific needs in the Orange community. Volunteers each work with a philanthropic project, staff the Thrift Shop, serve on a committee, and attend monthly meetings.
New members serve a one-year orientation.
During the orientation, they visit all of the philanthropic projects, attend
monthly meetings, and attend monthly new member meetings.
The members of the Professional
Auxiliary dedicate 35 hours each year to a philanthropic project in
addition to working in the Thrift Shop, attending monthly meetings and
serving on a committee.
The Orange Blossoms are
able to help and care for many individuals in the community of Orange. The
25-charter
members range in age from high school graduates to thirty-five years of
age. The group successfully became an auxiliary of the Assistance
League® of Orange in 2005. Orange Blossoms were established to encourage
young adults in various professions to contribute by identifying and serving
those
in need in the community.
Currently, our Assisteens® Auxiliary has 90+ members who work on several philanthropic projects, attend monthly meetings, work in the Thrift Shop and serve on one or more special projects every year. By completion of their senior year the members will have completed a minimum of 60 community service hours each while in Assisteens.
Chapter and the three auxiliaries work hand in hand to provide as many services as possible. It is the purpose of the entire corporation...
To act as a friend at any and all times to
men, women, and children in need of care, guidance, and assistance -
spiritually, materially and physically.
