The total membership of Assistance League® of Orange, including all auxiliaries is over 350. Chapter members and its auxiliaries develop and implement philanthropic programs that serve specific needs in the Orange community. Volunteers each work with a philanthropic program, staff the Thrift Shop, serve on a committee, and attend monthly meetings.
New members receive orientation training to familiarize
themselves with the organization and our operations..
During the orientation, they visit all of the philanthropic programs and attend
monthly meetings.
The members of the Professional
Auxiliary dedicate 35 hours each year by working philanthropic programs,
working in the Thrift Shop, attending monthly meetings and
serving on a committee.
The Orange Blossoms are
able to help and care for many individuals in the community of Orange. Orange
Blossoms were established to encourage young adults in various professions
to contribute by identifying and serving
those
in need in the community.
Currently, our Assisteens® Auxiliary has 90+ members who work on numerous philanthropic programs, attend monthly meetings, work in the Thrift Shop and serve on one or more special projects every year. By completion of their senior year the members will have completed 90 or more community service hours each while in Assisteens.
Chapter and the three auxiliaries work hand in hand to provide as many services as possible. It is the purpose of the entire corporation...
To
act as a friend at any and all times to
men, women, and children in need of
care,
guidance, and assistance -
spiritually, materially and physically.
