Chapter "FUND"amentals

The philanthropic projects of Assistance League® of Orange are funded through the fundraising efforts of chapter members and the generosity of the local community.

Fundraising events are generally held each year and the public is invited.  Surplus funds must exceed 50% of the cost of the event per NATIONAL Assistance League® guidelines.  The Grants Committee actively seeks grants from local foundations and other organizations.  Cash donations, memorial funds, and gifts/services in kind are also accepted.  The chapter's thrift shop is a thriving business and its income contributes greatly to the annual operating budget.  Additionally, a small percentage of the Assistance League of Orange Endowment Fund may also be used to fund philanthropic projects if needed.

The chapter's annual Boutique Nöel has become a popular event to attend each Fall.  The blended boutique of holiday crafts is held in the Chapter House and attracts many thousands of attendees over the several days it is open.  It is free to attend and is always lots of fun!  Look for it this year from Thursday, October 30th through Sunday, November 2nd 2008.  Daily times vary.  Please call (714) 532-5800 for more information.

Assistance League of Orange is a nonprofit charitable organization and operates as a 501(c)(3) corporation under IRS regulations.

Assisteens fundraise all year to provide these services to the community by selling food at the Orange International Street Fair, items at Assistance League of Orange’s Boutique Noël, and working in the Chapter’s “Now and Again” thrift shop.

In April Orange Blossoms host their annual major fundraiser, “A Taste of Orange,” where people will gather to not just eat from Orange’s finest restaurants. Orange Blossoms also sell items at the Assistance League of Orange’s Boutique Noel.
